Mom and Dad finally decided to have our house renovated (certain parts actually). Unlike the room of my parents and my little (bratty) sisters, which btw are SUPER OVER THE TOP BUDGETED ARCHITECTURALLY ENHANCED rooms, my room’s only “renovations” were the uninstalled cabinets and a freshly painted walls. All of bedrooms in our house originally had permanent cabinets installed but mom got tired of them so she had them torn out… and now we (my other sisters room and mine) are left with bare white walls (which reminds me of a hospital ER) and Gigantic dark oak movable cabinets. Trust me, of all the ten kids I was ecstatic to hear that the house was being renovated, I even specifically asked for an ash-gray hue for the two wider side of the walls of my room to give it a widening effect! However my Mom “conveniently” forgot to tell the carpenters (which I told her three weekends ago and additional seven text messages as a remdinder, which btw she responded ‘ok’ to before the carpenters started).
Alas, what’s done is done… I can’t do anything about it since we already moved back..
Now, my problem is the walls. WHITE WHITE WHITE walls! i mean, not even cream white, or off white or some other white white! It’s the palest of white and I can’t stand looking at it’s nakedness. The room needs life! At first I was like “oh yeah.. yeah! I’m gonna go for the minimalistic design”, which always look polish and refine, but I just don’t think that it fits my style. I love cluttered walls and excessively accessorized rooms! Plus there’s an area in one the walls in the which used to be an extension window of the library and now, at their attempt to have it covered, is plastered with a plywood, inconsistent with the concrete walls it forces itself to blend with (and the paint doesn’t help at all!). Yes I have the suckiest bedroom to date.
However ugly it may be, I see a window of opportunity to go Gaga and make it look AMAZINGLY LEGENDARY fyeah.
Posted here are the sets of ideas for the room. Don’t laugh at my drawing for I am fully aware of its lackness “thereof” but I know you’ll get the picture.
